About Live Sporting Events
Nearly all sports leagues and organizations hold the exclusive rights to broadcast Play-By-Play of their teams’ games on the internet to the public. Effectively, the only exception is Ducks Hockey, which we do stream and carry on the AM830 app.
In these cases, we (and all radio stations) only have rights to broadcast these games over the air and are legally prohibited from streaming these games and events on our web stream, including our app. You can access the event stream through the league or organization’s website, such as MLB.com, NFL.com, etc. Our stream will switch to alternate programming during these games.
About the AM830 App
The audio heard when using the AM830 app is our webstream. Our app is a simple tool to hear AM830 programming and connect to the stations with its built-in links. It can be found at the Apple App Store and the Google Play store, search for “AM830 KLAA” provided by AirKast, Inc. As mentioned above, we are prohibited from carrying any live sports play-by-play, except for Ducks Hockey.
